The huge direwolf named Garmr has been with Ulric Wolfkin ever since the werewolf arrived to Uland and founded the Wolfgang. They met on the fields outside Eubric and battled fiercely until Ulric bit the direwolf. The werewolf's bite gave the beast human-like intellect and the ability to talk. Being ever-so-grateful for this, Garmr never leaves Ulric's side, acting as his personal bodyguard.
Ulric rides Garmr to meet heroes who have done the Wolfgang a service.
