Xiaolin was the battle-hardened daughter of Master Kai Tsi, leader of the group of rebels calling themselves 108 Stars of Destiny. She trained as a Tao Warrior alongside Jun Ji Pei, and the two fell in love. The romance did not last, for Jun moved overseas to Eubric while Xiaolin remained in the brotherhood's pagoda. At first she was shocked to hear that her father was devising a rebellion against Aoi supremacy, but when she got to see the misery of the people of Xu with her own eyes, she became loyal to Kai Tsi's cause and took the monicker "Blue-faced Beast". She defended her father until the very end, and gave her life for him, despite Jun's pleas to leave the group.
